#ATHOMEWITHTHEMAN: TARYL BOOTHE
What activities and/or hobbies are keeping you active at the moment?
I recently purchased a bike so I’ve been cycling a lot, going on runs and I have some weights at home so I’m trying to maintain my muscle mass by working out daily. Before isolation working out was always an escape for me, so I was gutted when gyms were closed but I’m working with what I’ve got!
How is that impacting your well being?
I’m quite a social person, I tend to be out and about every day normally with friends, or out of the house for at least 10hrs a day so staying in for me is difficult, but being with family and working out as I touched on earlier is keeping me sane.
Have you developed a structure for your days yet, if yes, what motivated you to put a structure in place?
I set my alarm every morning for 9 am and get out of bed for 10 am, then prepare my usual breakfast and read in the garden as it’s been quite sunny, then I will figure out what I’m going to do fitness-wise. Aside from that, recently brands have been in touch to create quarantine content from home, so that has been keeping me occupied and also gives a sense of security and I feel grateful I’m still able to create content for brands during this time.
Have you discovered anything new about yourself during this lockdown period?
I have learnt to not take the things for granted, no matter who you are, health is wealth. It has also made me remember the things I want to do in life, the things you normally forget about when you’re just going about your normal day to day life.
If so, how will that dictate your actions post lockdown?
I bought a diary so I can write down things I need to keep on track with, as well as note down what I’ve been planning to work on. I’ll also pick up the pace when working closely with brands again, I also plan to pitch some project ideas to brands to get funding.
What does your work from home uniform look like?
My work from home uniform consists of full Nike head to toe, Nike Dri-fit top/shorts, socks and sliders, or Nike joggers, oversized t-shirts and shorts, been keeping it very cosy.
