Orderly, structured but yet delicate are words that we would use to describe the AW20 Collection. For this collection we see Abloh deliver suits, two pieces, small leather goods, intricate detailed fastens, and added value to “simple” suits and many accessories!

What we appreciate about this collection is the care for constructs and lack thereof, ironically. Ideals are being adhered to, whilst being broken and remoulded all at the same time! What we know to be a suit for the normal working man is what you can find in this collection, but at the same time, you can seek suits that scratch the pristine connotations which a suit is known to have.

This ode to overly advertised ideals about who a man should be is what allows us to describe this collection as a mere time portal. Abloh has turned the clock backwards, and whilst the hands of time spin in an anti-clockwise manner, we see certain constructs get a nip, tuck and add-ons to those ideals.

  • Ruffling details on suits

  • Intense monogramming

  • Fur coats

  • Androgynous man bags

Whilst travelling back to rewrite time, Abloh has beamed us right into 2020 and some change which allows us to loosen the fastens of ideals which have been bestowed onto us.

Please review the whole collection via Vogue Runway here.
